The Values Wheel
As we’ve established, the Values Wheel is based on the Wheel of Life concept, but using your Core Personal Values. There are two versions of the Values Wheel included with this course and both PDFs are available for you to download below. Download these now as you will need them over the coming pages.
Once you have the 6-9 CPVs you discovered in Module 1, including your Top 3 Compass Values from Module 2, you are going to need some tools to help you deploy your CPVs in day-to-day life. There are many ways that you can do this and I’d love to hear of any that you invent or discover for yourself, but I have included the Values Wheel as a way to get started with your CPVs right now.
In the same way that you can assess the 12 mains areas of your life using the 12 segments in the Wheel of Life, you can use the 9 segments of the Values Wheel to evaluate
your life generally
specific areas of your life
one-off opportunities or decisions
against your 6-9 Core Personal Values, giving each of them a score from 1-10 indicating how well you are embodying your CPVs in your life right now.
Over the next few pages we’re going to bring this to life with some practical examples of using the two different Values Wheels below; but before we continue, do you remember Valerie from Module 2? I’ve included a reminder of the 9 CPVs that Valerie identified, including her Top 3 Compass Values – we will be using Valerie as our case study.
